An Interesting Case: Long Necked Turtle from the Murrumbidgee River

This was a wildlife case that came in that was found near the Murrumbidgee River.

The turtle was found with some fishing line hanging out of its mouth. We took an x-ray to see just what was attached to the end of the fishing line, there was obviously something tasty the turtle had found that unfortunately was attached to a fishing hook.

Unfortunately there was nothing we could do for this turtle and he had to be euthanased.
